Writing is too contrived, too picturesque!Too much technical stuff for the unscientific reader. Too much about oil flows, etc. Would be a good read perhaps for a petroleum engineer.
There was a murder but this was not a 'thriller'.
The ending was so predictable.

Fun whodunit set in the early 70's when it was a very different environment from today for multiculturalism and sexual mores. The writer is steeped in history and archaeology and provides fascinating details of ancient cultures in Europe, Africa, and the Americas. This unique blend of metaphysics and engineering will appeal to people on both ends of the spectrum and provides an opportunity for those on one end to learn from the other.
